Understanding the order of sizes is essential for children as it lays the groundwork
for spatial reasoning, whether arranging items from largest to smallest or vice versa.
This concept also helps develop an understanding of word formation, where letters
must be arranged in a specific order to create a word.

Features of Clothing

In our investigation of this week’s focus question, “What are the features of our
clothing?” we examined various pieces of clothing and engaged in discussions
about different types of fabrics and elements such as collars, buttons, and zippers.

Goldilocks and the Three Bears

Last week, Goldilocks and the Three Bears visited our classroom. Throughout the week, we
sorted and discussed items as small, medium, or large. This exploration of sizes allows children
to make direct comparisons. Beyond enhancing math skills, the story also fosters literacy
development, including language acquisition and memory recall. We were also surprised when
we went outside to play on the playground and discovered Goldilocks was on our playground!
