TEXAS EDUCATION FREEDOM ACCOUNTS

St. James Day School has been approved by the State of Texas as a private school eligible to receive TEFA funds. Families who are awarded TEFA funding may apply those funds toward tuition at St. James Day School once their accounts are active. While any family may apply, submitting an application does not guarantee funding. Awards are determined by eligibility requirements and priority categories set by the state of Texas.

The TEFA application window for the 2026–2027 school year is open for a brief time, from February 4 through March 17, 2026. Applications must be submitted directly through the State of Texas TEFA portal at https://educationfreedom.texas.gov/.

Families who are interested are encouraged to plan ahead and be ready to apply as soon as the portal opens on February 4, 2026. To prepare, we recommend gathering the required materials listed on the TEFA Application Checklist.
