Feelings of Fall

Spookley the Square Pumpkin

For our shape review, we explored the story of Spookley the Square Pumpkin and discussed the various shapes featured throughout the tale. Today, we began creating our own Spookley pumpkins. The children not only crafted square pumpkins but also added color using smaller orange squares. They really focused on developing their fine motor skills while gluing, positioning the squares, and cutting out the mouth.

Fall Festivities

Join us as we share the delightful fall activities that took place at Primary! We began our day with a Fall Fashion Show, where performing in front of an audience not only enhances public speaking skills but also fosters language development, vocabulary expansion, spatial awareness, and memory recall through learning various songs.

Our thrilling day continued with our middle school students hosting a trip to the pumpkin patch, where we enjoyed a trip to the pumpkin patch, trick-or-treating the trail, carnival games, and a hayride.

Patterns

This week, we kicked off our exploration of patterns by introducing the concept. Each day, we focused on AB patterns. One activity involved the children taking turns creating AB patterns using colored buttons, which connected to our curriculum unit of study—clothing.
