1st - 8th grade have been getting ready for their fitness text next week. This is something we started working on the moment we came back to school. The students have their “class work” that they do at the beginning of class. We stretch to loosen up for class, we warm up by working on motor skills, we do our exercises after we warm up, then we stretch again to improve our flexibility. Along with our daily workouts, we like to throw some sport studies into class. For the 3rd - 8th graders, we have been learning some skills needed for flag football. Some classes have progressed to playing a game already! Some are still working towards that goal. Next week we will do our 1st Fitness Test of the year. We will repeat the test in March to see how much we have improved during the school year. Look for pictures next month of our Fitness Test and maybe you can catch a few pictures of the classes playing some football!
