Dr. Suess Week
Monday - Cat in the Hat (Hat Day)
Oh, thank you, dear Sander and Thomas, it's true,
For joining our class with such hullabaloo!
On Cat in the Hat Day, such fun we all had,
Reading the tales that made us so glad.
With hats on your heads, so striped and so tall,
You read to us stories that filled up the hall.
Your visit was special, and we're here to say,
We loved every moment of Cat in the Hat Day!
Tuesday - If I Ran the Zoo (Bring a stuffed animal to school)
In our class, a zoo's delight,
Creatures danced in morning light!
Kids stood tall, with grins so wide,
To share their animals and names with pride.
Oh, what fun! We laughed and played,
Graphing animal crackers on display.
Counting critters, what a thrill,
In our zoo, our joy did spill!
Wednesday - Fox in Socks (Crazy Sock Day)
Oh, what a day, a fox-filled display!
A surprise from Mrs. Fox came our way.
She read us a tale, Fox in Socks, with flair,
Then we crafted wild socks for the fox to wear.
With colors so bright and patterns so grand,
We painted and sprinkled, lending a hand.
The fox would be thrilled, with socks so divine,
A whimsical day, oh, how the socks did shine!
Thursday - The Lorax (Wear Mustaches)
The smiles were wide, the laughter was grand,
Nearly everyone cheered throughout the land!
Here came The Lorax, a tale to embrace,
And we donned mustaches to match his face!
Friday - Sleep Book (Wear Pajamas)
In pajamas we sat, with a yawn and a look,
We crafted and colored our own sleepy book.
After reading the tales of Dr. Seuss's delight,
The children painted dreams in colors so bright.
With watercolor brushes and imagination so wide,
Their personalized books were made with great pride.
In this cozy adventure, we laughed and we read,
Creating sweet stories before going to bed.
More Suess Fun:
Green Eggs and Ham
We began our day in a most splendid way,
With a reading of Green Eggs and Ham, hooray!
Then came a tasting, oh what a treat,
Green eggs, ham, and purple milk to eat!
