Be Our Guest

We hit the ground running as soon as we got back to school! First through eighth grade is hard at work preparing for our spring musical, Beauty and the Beast, Jr. We have begun choreography, learning our music, blocking, costuming, and construction on our sets and props.

Our Performers:
While preparing for our spring musical, students in 1st–8th grade build reading and memorization skills through scripts and lyrics, musical and movement skills through singing and choreography, and strong communication through expressive speaking and teamwork. Rehearsals foster focus, responsibility, time management, and perseverance, while performing builds confidence, creativity, and self-esteem.

Backstage and Scenic Designers:
Backstage crew members and scenic designers develop technical skills such as set building, painting, props, and basic lighting or sound, along with tool safety and organization. They strengthen creativity, problem-solving, teamwork, and attention to detail while learning responsibility and adaptability in support of the full production.

Don’t forget to mark your calendars for Friday, March 20 @ 6pm. Come out and see all of these students’ hard work at Pleasant Grove High Shool’s Performing Arts Center! We would love for you to “Be Our Guest!”
