Social distancing hasn’t stopped us from learning in the classroom! Chapel looks a little different this year, but we are still being fed God’s word virtually on Tuesday mornings and each day in the classroom through our Daily Devotions.
*This year I chose “punch cards” for positive reinforcements. After 10 punches, students get to choose from a list of rewards….show and tell has been a hit so far!
*Our school community helped with the Hurricane Laura relief. 3rd graders helped gather all donations from all ends of our campus and help me load the items. My husband and I took the donations to Southwest Louisiana and helped supply over 120 families with needed items and food!
September 11, 2001 changed the face of America and it revealed the hero’s around us. Today we honored the lives lost of 9/11 attacks by celebrating Patriot Day. This collaborative poster activity encouraged students to work together to create a stunning poster to hang on the wall as a reminder to Never Forget.
In addition to assigned school work, these rockstar 3rd graders have been busy sharpening skills in their favorite hobbies! Enjoy the pictures!! Photo credits to the parents and grandparents :)
Although December is the busiest month of the year, claimed by most, it is also the best! We participated in programs, parties, and maintained our daily schedule. Through our daily class devotions, we are given many opportunities to reflect on the holiday season. 1st-8th graders performed beautiful hymnals and read Lessons through scripture during Candlelight. The program is a traditional and beautiful service, taken place downtown at St. James church, and really sets a joyful tone for Christmas!
I adore this sweet class. They all did wonderful and looked sharp!

This was my favorite DIY project by far!! Mrs. Denise, helped us with sanding, staining, and using a hammer! The students worked very hard on their gifts and worked each day with diligence. This pictures are over a span of 2 weeks! Such a special gift!
