Fire Safety - Clothing Unit

The firemen told us about their clothes and showed us the jaws of life. We discussed stop, drop and roll and learned how to call 911 during an emergency. The highlight of this visit was getting in the fire truck. A special thank you to the Texarkana Fire Dept. for giving us a WOW moment.

Goldilocks

The story of goldilocks was brought to life this week. I used this book to help children understand large, medium and small.

We learned that Goldilocks tried three bowls of porridge. There was a large, medium and a small bowl of porridge.

Ordering by size prepares children for more complex math and problem solving . A special thank you to Lily Clark for playing the role of Goldilocks.
