Letter sounds

Top - to- bottom , left - to - right habits

Patterns With Shirt Color

Patterns are an important math skill for preschoolers. By recognizing and repeating sequences, children learn to predict what comes next, understand rules, and prepare for complex math in later grades.

Why do we use GEOBOARDS?

1. Pulling and stretching rubber bands over pegs builds the small muscles in children's hands and fingers.

2. Shape Recognition - Children build and feel rectangles, triangles and squares.

3. Writing Readiness - The finger control, hand -eye coordination, and grip strength directly support cutting and writing skills.

A folktale from Thailand - A book from our clothing unit

THE GIRL WHO WORE TOO MUCH

This week we took a trip to Thailand to learn about a little girl named Aree. One day while Aree is trying on her beautiful dresses she hears of a dance in a nearby village. She can't decide which dress to wear to the dance so she puts on all her dresses. Aree misses the dance because the clothes are too heavy and she is unable to walk. The moral of this story is that true beauty comes from simplicity rather than material things. Aree learns to be happy with less. After I read the story it was time to pretend to be Aree. We had a wonderful time with this activity!
