TXDOT VISIT & HALLOWEEN FESTIVITIES
TXDOT visited PreK, and we had the opportunity to learn who takes care of our roads!
We had such a fun morning learning all about the process! The students discovered the materials used to build and repair roads, explore signs used to keep us safe on roads, and the importance of riding in the correct car seat and always buckling up. They also learned to watch for workers wearing orange, mapped a route from their homes to school, and even got to see a dump truck up close!
A big thank you to TXDOT for helping us answer our focus question and making this such a fun and memorable morning!
Thank you to the Middle School students for hosting our Pumpkin Patch and Trick-or-Treat the Trail! Our students had a wonderful time listening to a story written and read by the 7th and 8th grade classes and learning about the life cycle of a pumpkin through song. They explored the patch, picked their very own pumpkin, and Trick-or-Treated the Trail with the help of the 6th graders passing out candy. After trick-or-treating, students enjoyed fun carnival games hosted by the 5th grade and wrapped up the festivities with a hayride with Mr. Hank. It was such a memorable and festive day!
