Celebrating Constitution Day in Fourth Grade! 🇺🇸

Today we celebrated Constitution Day—a very special day in American history! On September 17, 1787, the Founding Fathers signed the U.S. Constitution, the important document that created the rules for our government. It’s kind of like the “rulebook” for our whole country!

In class, we learned that the Constitution begins with the Preamble, which explains the big ideas: justice, peace, safety, freedom, and fairness. We talked about how these ideas still matter in our lives today. Students imagined what laws they would add if they were writing the constitution.

The Constitution reminds us that our voices matter and that laws are made to protect everyone. Even as fourth graders, we can practice being good citizens by being kind, respectful, and responsible.
