P.E. in September

Welcome back to the Physical Education page at St James Day School. Our 7th and 8th graders are working hard on their footwork, speed and agility. We have included plyometric training into our classes 1-2 times a week. Plyometrics are typically done as jumping exercises where the muscles are stretched as they contract. The benefits of plyometric training includes increased muscle strength, improved coordination, and agility. Our sports of focus this month are Volleyball and Badminton. We are practicing our passing in volleyball and our hitting in badminton. Coming soon are pictures of 3,4, and 5 year olds Action Based Learning labs. These are labs focused on their gross motor development.
