Music Class 2/7/18

The Music classes are very busy during this time of year.  We have Grandparent's Day performances, "Jungle Book" rehearsals, and music curriculum being taught.

Primary-Kindergarten classes are exploring instruments.  The students have played the Mexican instruments such as Maracas, Castanets, and Guiros.  They have also played the percussion instruments such as the cymbals, hand drums, and xylophones. (pics. included.)

The Elementary students are singing Disney songs for our upcoming Grandparent's day performance.  They are practicing, "The Second Star to the Right", "Zip-a-dee-doo-dah", and "Supercalifragilisticexpialidocious". They are also practicing some "Jungle Book" songs.

THe Middle school students are having 8 week units on their instruments. Sixth grade is playing drums,  Fifth grade is playing bells, Fourth grade is playing drums and recorders, and Third grade is playing recorders and singing. The Sixth grade is also studying the Romantic era, and the Fifth grade is studying a unit on Music Theory.
