Music Classes Oct. 31st
The music classes as Saint James have been very productive. We have several performances and services lined-up. Next week, our Fourth grade class will be playing "When the Saints Go Marching In" on the recorders at our weekly school chapel (Nov. 2nd). They will be playing the prelude. The Second grade class will be singing our prelude at the Veteran's Day Chapel. They will be singing "This Land Is Your Land". (Nov. 7th) The select students from the Sixth grade will playing "Ode to Joy" on the ukuleles. (Nov 14th). It is very important that students learn to use their gifts and talents to glorify God.
Candlelight Services are scheduled for December 19th and 20th. Students in grades First, Third, and Fifth will perform on Tuesday the 19th. Students in grades Second, Fourth, and Sixth will perform on Wednesday the 20th. Solos perform both nights.
Students auditioned for solos, duets, and trios for our Candlelight services. This is a big honor to be selected. Students had to prepare one piece to perform for myself and their peers to audition. They all did a great job! Here are the results: Annabelle Harp, Ella Crouch, Dawson Palmer, Jett Mayo, Catherine Joyce, Carolina Womack, Elle Floyd, Kate Hindman, Jon Chatelain, Alex Orr, David Mayo, Abbie York, Emma Burks, Maddie Smallwood, Staten Crossland, Kennley O'Rorke, Victoria Langley, and Katie McKinney. Everyone did such an amazing job at auditions. I know we are going to have a fabulous Candlelight!
